Sorry - rather vague thread title.

I am trying to work out if I'm having a miscarriage or not. I have a scan on Tuesday morning (the EPU wont bring it forward) so until then I am stuck trying to figure out what the hell my body is up to.

I had a small bleed on Tuesday evening - a bit of a whoosh and that was it really.

I panicked like mad thinking it was all over, and the DR arranged the early scan for me.

Then no more bleeding until today. At 9am today I had another 'whoosh' but unlike Tuesday it has gone on all day and been heavier than before, with a couple of clots (blood only, no tissue.)

Now I am really, really panicing, and I figure it must be all over mustn't it? Only I never passed anything and it's stopped again.

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Has anyone had a similar experience? Is this a miscarriage? Do they just start and stop?
How am I going to last until Tuesday?

How horribly worrying for you.

It must be very frustrating waiting until next Tuesday to have your scan but they probably wouldn't be able to see much now and any scan at this stage would probably be very inconclusive.

Do you think it would be worth doing one of those conception indicator pregnancy tests? If the dates tally with where you think you are, it could be an encouraging sign.

Lots of people seem to bleed and don't go on to miscarry. I really hope it all works out for you.

Did you have a m/c quite recently? I think we may have "spoken" on previous threads.

Hi neolara, thanks for posting. I haven't heard of the conception indicator pregmnancy tests. That's a good idea.

And yes, I had a missed miscarriage on 3rd October, so I was thrilled to get pregnant again so quickly. I never thought this might happen! My worry was a missed miscarriage again, not bleeding.

The tests tell you roughly how pregnant you are (e.g. 2-3 weeks post conception). MN was sending them out to people to trial in the Autumn. They are now in the shops - I've seen them in our local Boots. The ones I've seen are by Clearblue, but there may be others.

Good luck.
