when you have a m/c how do you date it as the first day of m/c

Do you date it from the first day you had the bleed, or the when the babys heartbeat stopped, or when you pass the sac and foetus.

When you start bleeding. Your body doesn't know the baby has died at first which is why it doesn't pass straight away (although some people it's one process).
