After a mc at 5+2 2 weeks ago I now seem to be ovulating and we are keen to get pg again soon (asap...)

I have friends who have gone on to have successful pregnancies immediately post mc but was wondering what other people's stories are? I suppose I am worried about it happening again but also just like to hear lotos of positive stories

hi-sorry to hear about your loss.

I had a missed MC in May (found out at 12 week scan that baby had died at about 8 weeks). first period was about 7 weeks later, and then used ovulation predictor sticks, monitored cervix position and cervical mucous and fell pregnant that month. Am now about 15 weeks pregnant and so far all seems to be going ok (fingers crossed etc.) Have had several wobbles in terms of worrying about everything being ok, but guess that is normal

Good luck with trying again...

Had miscarriage in October 07, started trying again in December 07 (personally, I felt I needed to let my body recover for a few weeks and track my cycle again - but everyone is different). Got pregnant in Feb 08.

Sorry to hear about your m/c and good luck with trying again!

So sorry about your loss. I think the general advice is to wait until you have had 1 period before ttc. This is to do with being able to calculate your due date more than anything else. Have a look at the miscarriage association website for some really good advice about preparing for pregnancy. It is totally understandable to feel worried that it will happen again - as someone who spent her last 2 pregnancies convinced it would happen again I can empathise! However I now have 3 dds when not so long ago I had resigned myself to my eldest being an only child. Good luck

So sorry for you hon, hope this positive story helps:
I had a MC in July 08 and conceived again in September, which was my next cycle as no AF in between. I now have a lovely 4 month old baby boy who I am SO thankful for!

Thanks all for your messages.
Congratulations to you all on your pregnancies and flowergirls thanks for the advice on the MA website.

Hope I have a positive story to share soon too. x

HI - so sorry for you. I've had 3 mc's. Ist one was followed by pg 4 months later (ds now 8) and 2nd mc followed by pg the very next month (dd1 now almost 6, then followed by dd2) 3rd mc was entirely unplanned so haven't gone down the no4 route!xx

These stories are lovely - thank you. I am almost allowing myself to feel hopeful (although symptom spotting and HPTs are most definitely banned)..

So sorry to hear about your mc .

With my first pregnancy I lost it around the 4/5 week mark, but then fell pregnant again a couple of weeks later. DS is now 19 months .

Wishing you all the luck in the world, and I hope to read that you've been successful very soon! x
