i am currently going through my 8th miscarriage and have a D&C on Tuesday. All my miscarriages have been around 9 weeks after a heartbeat has been seen. The Reoccuring miscarriage clinic can’t give me any answers as to why this is happening. Does anyone have any advice or recommend anyone? I am losing hope, all the tests/scans/biopsies I have had have all come back ok.

I'm so sorry for your losses.
Sorry is TMI, but have you had had any of the foetuses checked? They can't always get an answer but one of mine had trisomy 13 (patau) and another was monosomy 22. All tests were clear for DH and myself and after 10yrs TTC, multiple losses and rounds of IVF with no children, they concluded it was caused by old eggs.

Yes my husband has been checked and everything was ok, 2 babies have been checked and was ok too

@Elizabethcx11 so sorry you are experiencing this. If not checked already I recommend that you get checked for immune issues.

No advice but just wanted to say my heart goes out to you. I've had 3 MC and it truely is the worst thing. Hope you get some answers x

So sorry for your losses. Go get immune checks- nk cells etc. Also make sure you do not have chronic endometritis. Going privately will be your best option but it is expensive, unfortunately the nhs do not test immune system in recurrent miscarriage

I had about 10 miscarriages, I kind of stopped counting, but they were a lot earlier than yours. We did IVF in the end and had 2 failed rounds before they discovered I had antiphospholipid syndrome, I was given aspirin and heparin and had a son 2 years ago.
We saw Leeds fertility and had the tests privately - I think they were about £900 but it’s 4 years ago now. Like you it was “unexplained”, I’m afraid I’m not much help, but APS is a possibility if you haven’t looked into it.

I so sorry for your losses. I had ICSI, a lot of failed cycles and also lost two sets of twins. On both occasions we saw two heartbeats at 7 weeks then one at 9 weeks and none at 11 weeks. My specialist suggested Intralipids for my last cycle. I had Intralipids intravenously. I did this a few weeks prior to trasfer. Then the day before the transfer. Then, after my positive pregnancy test. Then every 2/3 weeks up to 14 weeks. I also had asprin and progesterone oil injections but I had them for all the other transfers and pregnancies. The one with the Intralipids is the only one that stuck. Where I live they were charging £400 per infusion but I found a clinic in central London doing it for £150 so I traveled in. My tain fair was only £20 so it was worth the savings. At that stage I had spent over 40k on treatment and was on my last frozen embryo, so we decided to throw everything at it. We'd agreed that I would have anymore treatment after so it was really the last push. My eldest is 7.

I’m so sorry to hear this. To offer some hope my friend had 8 miscarriages over 3 years before she had her baby. Her final miscarriage was an IVF embryo transfer and then the next transfer worked and she’s 30 weeks now.

What tests have you had done so far? I would consider booking a private consultation for a second opinion where they can review what tests you’ve had so far and what else they might want to look into. I can only recommend the fertility consultant I saw in London but he does do remote appointments and he might give you a strategy for something you could action locally. He’s called Colin Davis, I will include some links below. He used to run one of the biggest NHS fertility trusts in London and now has his own private clinic called The Evewell which also has a recurrent miscarriage focus. He did some quite specialised testing panels for me linked to endometriosis before we went ahead with IVF (he also did my endometriosis surgery and was the first one to spot it after I’d seen several gynaes).
