I’m seeking advice or similar experiences for some hope ✨
im 28 and have a beautiful 7 year old daughter however, I would love another baby. I feel completely broken after the last few years and I’m not feeling hopeful it is going to happen for me.

2021: experienced a medical emergency heavy bleeding and clotting resulting in me almost losing my life at 14 weeks pregnant. I have to have pregnancy removed due to bleeding and unable to stop. Developed PTSD from this event

may 2026: after years of worried finally felt ready to try again, lost pregnancy at 8 weeks. Initially thought to be a molar however after conflicting letters and specialist review it was confirmed NOT.

Today 2026: 5+1 weeks spotting and pain, no visible signs of pregnancy on scans and beta hcg only at 35. Waiting for Epu referral for further bloods. Nothing confirmed yet.

Doctor was confused as to why I am not already under a specialist but I have now been given the go ahead to see my gp regarding recurrent miscarriage service.

I have notice the last 2 times i have been pregnant I have experienced strong uncomfortable cramps, I cannot remember experiencing this with my 2 earlier pregnancies.

I don’t want to give up. I desperately want another child. At the same time, I’m absolutely terrified of going through this again.
I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has had a similar history – particularly anyone who has had two or three losses and subsequently gone on to have another healthy baby.
What investigations did you have?
Did anyone find a reason for the losses?
Were you offered progesterone or any other treatment?
Did being under a recurrent miscarriage clinic make a difference?
And most importantly, did anyone eventually get their rainbow baby after feeling like it was never going to happen?
I know nobody can tell me what will happen with this pregnancy, and I’m trying to take things one step at a time. I think I just need some hope and some practical advice about what I should be asking for before trying again.
I already have one beautiful child and I am incredibly grateful for her, but I still desperately want another baby. I don’t feel ready to give up on that dream.

Are you taking progesterone the moment you fall pregnant? I think all of those losses scream low progesterone. You’d need high progesterone to secure the lining. You should be taking it if so from ovulation onwards. I’d push or go for a private prescription.

No, not currently. An out of hours GP was the only person ever to mention progesterone to me and that was at 1:30 am. Thank you, if this pregnancy fails (I am almost certain it is) my next step is to go to the recurrent miscarriage clinic and ask about progesterone more, however I imagine this is a long wait and I’d really love to continue TTC

My experiences were years ago as children are 14&18 now but I was referred to miscarriage expert. I had high folic acid and small dose aspirin. I was also given HCG injections I think weekly in first trimester. I ended up with 2 children with this support plus more reassurance scans
goid luck
