Periods after miscarriage

I miscarried 3 weeks ago and have had really painful ovulation pain today, with discharge and pelvic pain and vaginal pain , I think i will be starting my period soon . I wanted to know if anyone has any advice for my periods after miscarriage? I've heard it will be very heavy but will it be painful too ?

Sorry for your loss @Accbabymom1994 , I’m just at the end of my first period after a MMC. Day 12 so much longer than my usual 3-4 days. No cramps or pain and not heavy, just lingering. My MMC was at 9 weeks, stopped developing at 6. Period came 7 weeks after passing the pregnancy tissue naturally.
