Just looking for support/somewhere to get it all out/positive stories as I had surgery for a ruptured ectopic yesterday.
I found out I was pregnant 2 weeks ago after a few cycles trying for baby #3. I had spotting from pretty much as soon as I found out so had a scan booked at EPU for 6 weeks. At 5+2 I had some weird gas like pains and after googling I was a bit scared it was ectopic. I rang 111 who said because it wasn’t severe not to worry. The next day I felt absolutely fine. 5+4 I woke up with awful one sided pain so I just knew. I rang EPU who didn’t seem to think it was a hurry but I was booked in for a scan at 12:15. Those 2.5 hours waiting were the longest ever, just in consistent awful pain. My scan confirmed a ruptured ectopic and I was in surgery by 1:15. I lost my left tube but otherwise it went well. I think it didn’t feel a shock because with the pain I just knew and I was glad to be alive, but it’s obviously completely heartbreaking 😢
Ive been told to contact EPU for a scan at 6 weeks if I fall pregnant again, but this happened before 6 weeks so I’m terrified of that happening again.
Complete ramble but just needed to get it out!
