I fell pregnant for the first time in March this year but miscarried naturally in April, I then fell pregnant again immediately afterwards without a period in between but miscarried again in June which required an ERPC.
On Friday, 30 days post surgery my period arrived and it’s been so so heavy to the point I’m not sure it’s actually normal but with it being a weekend I’m not really sure who to contact to check (and I don’t want to be a pest who wastes NHS time!). I’m bleeding incredibly heavily and I’ve given it a couple of days hoping it would begin to lighten but if anything it’s getting heavier (currently having to change a super tampon every 1.5 hours), passing clots and have awful stomach pain.
Because of the back to back pregnancies I haven’t had a period before this since February so I was expecting it to be bad but not this bad! To be honest it feels more like my natural miscarriage did than an actual period which is traumatic in itself! I’m feeling pretty dreadful because of it but I was already really anaemic because of the bleeding from the miscarriages so this obviously won’t be helping either! Is this pretty standard for a first cycle after a miscarriage?
