What type of miscarriage?

Just wondered what type of miscarriage everyone had. I had a "blighted ovum" where the baby doesn't form, just a group of cells and a placenta. I'm planning another as soon as I can and obviously very worried that if I'm lucky enough to fall pregant that I may again suffer another miscarriage. My doctor told me that its rare to have two "blighted ovums", but I'm sceptical. I've had such terrible luck this year, that it will probably continue!!

Has anybody had two of the same type of miscarriage?

I had one blighted ovum diagnosed at 13 weeks, one natural miscarriage where I don't know what happened as I didn't have any scans, and one where the baby was fine at 8 weeks, but died the same day as I had the scan.

5 missed miscarriages - where I bled but retained the embryo.

2 missed mcs, one at 12 weeks one at 9, both times had scan a week before which showed baby perfectly fine with strong heartbeat and right size.
Also had complete mc at 7 weeks but I suspect it was a blighted ovum but wasnt confirmed

Two mcs in a row (one yet to happen, just diagnosed yesterday), 2.5 years apart. Both blighted ovums. But, I am 41, so more likely to have dodgy eggs!

1 late mc, 2 early, 2 missed mc, blighted ovum, twin mc

i had 1 MMC at 14 weeks this was explained to me as a transitional defect. where the foetus dies as the placenta is taking over fully. i have had 2 early MC/chemical pregnancies (2nd one confirmed last week ) both at 5 weeks both named as being caused by an implantation abnormality. the GP whp confirmed the first early MC/CP said he wouldnt expect another CP to happen as sometimes these are due to a blighted ovum and with me being 26 it is highly unlikely that i would have another until i was much older 2 cycles on i am fresh out of another
from my experience with miscarriage there is rarely any rhyme or reason to it it is just something that happens unfortunately

4 miscarriages - 1st natural mc after baby small for dates, 2nd blighted ovum, 3rd missed after small for dates, 4th natural - dont know why as no scans. Did have 3 children inbetween 2nd and 3rd mc though so count myself as lucky overall although obviously not lucky at the times.

one missed MC at 18 weeks and one I have no idea...got a pos test and few days later it just went. Convinced I tried too soon and uterus just couldn't manage it.

I have had 6 successful pgs in 8 years and in between those I have had 6 mc's!!!!
The mc's have been a mixture of missed and starting to bleed and have been a mixture of empty sack and embryo that stopped growing at about 6-7 weeks.

Two at eight weeks, one mmc at thirteen weeks, baby died at nine. one sucessfull pregnancy, premature daughter.

what is a missed miscarriage or blighted ovum? i don't know what my miscarriages were caused by (had two aged 36 at 7 weeks, then immediately conceived next cycle and miscarried at 9 weeks...now on the whole rollercoaster again. had a healthy baby to term first pregnancy four plus years ago...so kind of thought my body knew what it was doing, so disconcerted to say the least about two miscarriages in a row...but fingers crossed this one works out and there isn't an underlying problem, although it is even now above statistical normality...

My first pg ended in a late mc at 22 weeks.

9 early MC's and 1MMC at nine weeks, still no baby!
