Pain after surgery- experiences?

I recently had surgery to remove pregnancy after a MMC just shy of 10 weeks. That was two weeks ago today.

I didn’t have any awful bleeding or pain after. Minor bleeding for a day or so, and pain which I at first took dihydrocodeine for, and has then been manageable through regular painkillers.

But the pain has never gone away. It’s not terrible, but it’s never left me. It’s just a kind of constant dull ache more at one side than the other.

Should I be worried? I phoned the GP today for advice but they said my clinic has changed policies and won’t do phone consultations any more unless mental health related, so they gave me an in person appointment but it’s over a week away.

If you’ve experienced this before, what is normal at this stage and what would you do?

I had an ectopic last year and had a lot of lingering pain for a while after but I think that was more normal and to be expected, whereas everything I’m reading just now about miscarriage surgery seems to suggest two weeks on I should feel ok.

Any advice appreciated.
