Early pregnancy bleeding at 4 weeks, chemical pregnancy?

Hi all, so I had a very faint positive test on Sunday (easy at home) which then progressed to a stronger line, and I also got a clearblue 1-2 weeks pregnant on Tuesday. However, yesterday afternoon I started pink bleeding which has now progressed to period like and quite heavy. I’ve felt sick the past few days but this has now gone. My easy at home test this morning was also fainter than on Tuesday (didn’t test yesterday). My clinic said if the bleeding continues then it sounds like a miscarriage.

As I’m 4+2 does this count as a chemical pregnancy? Has anyone else been through this, and what can I expect?

Also can I try again on my next cycle? Or do I need to wait? Any advice would be really helpful. I feel quite alone right now as haven’t told anyone other than DH xx

So sorry for what you’re going through. If it is a miscarriage I think at that early it would be classed as a chemical pregnancy. I had one and I did a pregnancy test after the bleeding stopped and it came back as negative straight away. I’ve had previous losses where I’d still have a positive test for a while after the bleeding stopped, so that was the main difference for me. Sending hugs xx

Sorry to hear this. I had similar, it was just over a week from my positive so think I was just over 5 weeks. I bled and passed a large ish clot. I rang 111 and to be honest they weren't too bothered just said it sounds like an early miscarriage/ chemical pregnancy.

I didn't wait to keep TTC, counted that as my period and we tried again couple of weeks later and got pregnant! She turns 5 next month.

Edit to add - it did confuse the dating a bit, they said they corrected it at the scan though
