Surgical management

Im just looking for similar experiences. I went in for my 20 week scan yesterday only to be told there is no heart beat and baby is measuring 16+ weeks. I have previously had a stillbirth at 37+ weeks. Now I have been given the option of surgical or medical management. With surgical management I have been told it’s only done on Wednesdays at a certain hospital and there’s no room for this week (today). They are trying another hospital. I want to go for the surgical route but I don’t wanna wait a whole week. I also don’t wanna go for the medical route because I gave birth to my stillborn baby naturally and I am traumatised of having to relive that again.

Hugs I've been through this multiple times. Latest loss was 17 weeks. Surgical is a lot easier personally for me. And the process while asleep helped. Bleeding and hormones was worse than the earlier losses. But please rest and get support whatsoever you decide xx

In the hospital I was in we had a special room set aside. To give birth and sit with our babies

Thank you and im sorry for your losses… I have decided to go with medical as I seem to have no other choice - there is a strike next week (doctors and nurses). I was told the surgery would take place next week Thursday but that’s only if they go ahead. So kinda left in the limbo there. So decided a week is a very long wait. Such a shitty situation all round

So sorry for your loss. Not sure if it's an option for you but maybe BPAS could help in your circumstances? I recently used them for TFMR and they were lovely throughout.
