Baby loss certificates

Has anyone got a baby loss certificate? Did you find it healing? I’m considering applying for one but am not sure. I never got to find out whether it was a boy or a girl so don’t know what I would name them. I think I’d find it hard not to give a name at all. What did people do?

I didn't get one from my failed IVFs but I'm well aware of the service and was involved with it. The concept of a blank field and how that would feel is one I had raised. The good thing is that if you get it and it feels off with a blank, you can do another. You could also put anything you like in the name: our baby, baby surname, etc.

Only you will know if you would find it healing or not. Sorry for your loss.

I got one, at the time we didn't know sex of baby so just put unknown. In the name we used the nickname that we referred to baby. I definitely found it helpful for me, gave me some 'official' recognition that my baby counted.

I now know baby was a boy and so thinking about applying for another certificate but would still use nickname. We found out we lost him at 17+3
