Getting pregnant after missed miscarriage

Just wondering what other people’s experiences are in terms of periods returning to normal an how long it took to conceive after a missed miscarriage?

I’ve had 2 now in the past year. The first was found at 12 weeks with baby measuring at 8+2, I did the “wait and see” option but it took ages for anything to happen, hospital kept fobbing me off, then seemed very long and drawn out. And then took nearly 2 months for periods to return. For the first couple of months it was more like light bleeding off and on every 2 weeks or so, but pregnancy tests were negative.

The next pregnancy was around 6 months later and 2 weeks ago we found at 13 week scan that baby was measuring 12+2 and no heartbeat. Opted for the surgical management and have now stopped bleeding and testing negative.

Hoping for periods to return soon but already apprehensive for the frustration of them being unpredictable/not being able to track them. We’re really really hoping to conceive again asap. Wouldn’t wish this on anyone.

I don’t want to be too negative but we had a missed miscarriage last February and my periods returned in April. I choose the medical management. It’s been 11 months now. Still TTC and no luck for us.

It did take us 11 months with our little boy though but then it was first month with the miscarriage.
