Having had a hysteroscopy recently to remove retained product from my miscarriage and also inauterine adhesions, I am hoping to hear any positive stories from people who had similar experience and went on to have a successful pregnancy please?

I’m sorry for your loss and diagnosis.

I had a hysteroscopy for retained products and during this the doctor found scarring from a previous procedure which she told me she’d tried to remove. (Prior to the miscarriage I had previously wondered if I had Ashermans). It took me 5 cycles to fall pregnant again and baby is now 12 weeks. No complications during pregnancy but I did have retained placenta and a blood transfusion (lost a lot of blood) after the birth.

Did the adhesions and retained product come up on a scan initially and that is why they did the hysteroscopy?

I had some mild cramping up to 6 weeks after my d&c, despite a negative test and an abdominal scan at my local hospital who dismissed it. I then had a saline scan at my ivf clinic who saw the retained product and adhesions which led me to have a hysterescopy.

Thank you so much for your reply. Congratulations on your little one! I have a follow up hystereoscopy in two weeks and then really hope to have the green light to start my treatment for an embryo transfer

About 11 years ago my DFriend had a miscarriage/D&C/Ashermans, she ended up having IVF (after subsequent MC) and within 6 years she had 3x DC (no twins so 3 x pg)

Wishing you the best xxx
