Bought my baby a Christmas gift

Was at the toy store shopping for a friend’s child this weekend and it made me feel so sad seeing all the baby toys and not getting to do Christmas for my baby, who would be 7 months old. Today I ended up going to the shop and buying something for my baby. Going to wrap it, but not sure what I’ll do after that. The Christmas season was going okay, I was decorating and making cookies and getting in the spirit but since the trip to the toy shop I feel like I’m headed to a very dark place again. Sending love to everyone struggling this Christmas.

I’m so sorry for your loss. You need to do whatever helps you to cope especially at this time of year. It’s extra tough.

I am so sorry for your loss. We lost our daughter at 16 weeks at the beginning of the month. I have her bear which I hold close when I’m feeling sad and think of her. Perhaps this present is something you can keep close to provide some comfort. Sending hugs, you’re not alone x

I'm really sorry for your loss and that sounds so hard. It sounds like you are coping really well with a sad and tough situation. Allow yourself to feel sad, buy and wrap the toy. Would you consider donating it after that?
