Pregnancy after loss

Needing some hope and reassurance.. For those of you who conceived especially quickly after a MMC.. How long did it take to conceive again? And did you do anything to increase your chances such as follow a specific diet, vitamins, exercise? Or nothing? Anyone else not been able to be as healthy while recovering from miscarriage but did conceive quickly again?

Sadly I had a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks and had an MVA a week and a half ago. We had been trying for 7 months when we fell and were devastated by the loss! We feel ready and pretty desperate to start TTC as soon as my body is able (been OKd by doctor) and starting to feel better emotionally and physically but still have my moments of sadness and spotting with some tenderness, Pregnancy tests still showing very positive but I know it hasn’t been long. So my body isn’t quite ready yet but as soon as it is we want to try again! I have been trying to eat healthily, but must admit not as clean as before the miscarriage and before the pregnancy in general!

I'm so sorry for your loss. It took us 6,9,6,3 months to conceive again after our 4 missed miscarriages.

The quickest conception I actually was doing the least "extra" stuff to get pregnant (go figure!). Just taking vitamin D and folic acid, generally eating a healthy balanced diet with plenty of protein and veggies, and exercising regularly.

@Moosey898thank you for replying! Sorry you went through this four times, it’s such a difficult thing to go through let alone the amount you have, I hope you managed to get support and praying for you for your rainbow 🌈. I have been continuing to take folic and vitamin D and eating the healthy things but also the unhealthy alongside.. oops xx

Thank you. We're actually going to have IVF this coming year (I have chromosome translocations so my miscarriage risk is way higher than the norm) so hopefully by next Christmas I'll have a bump, if the universe wants to go our way!

And ah don't beat yourself up about having the bad stuff too! Sometimes that is needed just as much to be honest.

My tests were always negative within 3 weeks of surgery and my period came back 5-6 weeks after surgery each time (if that helps you with any other timelines). Fingers crossed this is the only time you have to go through this and your rainbow is on the way soon xx

@Moosey898ah I see, still it can’t be any easier going through it even with that knowledge 😔 I hope you have success with the IVF.
yes that’s it it’s emotional eating!! Not helpful but it’s hard to be in the right mindset while going through something physically and emotionally traumatic.
Thank you for the time lines, it’s very helpful to know how it was for others as I just don’t know what to expect! Xx
