I've had 2 previously miscarriages over the last year and a half. Today I went for an early scan at what would have been 8w 4d and was told they couldn't find a heartbeat, but it was measuring about 8 and a half weeks, so it may have just stopped. I went at 6w and they struggled to find the fetal pole due to me having a Bicornuate uterus and it sitting very low. Eventually he found a little flicker and it was measuring the right size.

I'm absolutely devastated to be told yet again that the heartbeat has stopped. I just find it hard to believe that it was measuring right and it may have stopped yesterday or today. I know it's very unlikely, but part of me wonders if they're wrong (although I know they probably aren't). Could my uterus abnormality make it more difficult to see a heartbeat. I know the chances are next to 0 but has anyone seen and then not seen a heartbeat early on, only to see one on another scan later?

I'm sorry for what you are going through. I had an MC in June at 9 weeks (empty gestational sac) but got pregnant again in November. Had a heartbeat on Monday at 7 weeks, feeling hopeful ....and MC 4 days later, right before Christmas.
