Periods after miscarriage

Hi,

I had a surgical miscarriage at the end of July. I ended up also needing further medical management in September due to remaining tissue. After that I had a 25 day cycle. Then this month, my period is back after a 19 day cycle. Is this normal?

i have also been taking ovulation tests and I ovulated on CD6 according to my tests, which was the first day after my period. Is this something anyone else has experienced after miscarriage? I was always very regular pre-miscarriage.

Yes in my experience mine were a bit of a mess afterwards- I asked a Dr about it at the time and they said it can take six months for them to normalise. Acupuncture worked for me to regulate it again, as I was having a short luteal phase

I had a MMC end of August and MVA in September. The two periods I have had since have been different to before. Both much longer cycle (I ovulated later), spotting I haven’t had before and the second one (just finished) was awfully heavy. I was warned things take ages to settle down but they also trotted out that ‘you’re much more fertile after miscarriage’ line so I’m keen to get them settled and get trying again!
