Hematoma - not subchorionic

Hello,

Just looking for any advice. I just had a private early pregnancy scan and they’ve confirmed I’m 7 weeks and that there’s a heartbeat but that there’s a small hemotoma. 2cm or so. I asked if it was subchorionic as I’ve heard about this one before and she said no, it’s described as in the upper wall of the GS.

She recommended I speak to my midwife asap, I called the unit who have moved my booking appointment forward a week but it’s still 4 days away. I’m a bit worried as she made it sound like it was urgent to speak to them and that they might prescribe progesterone and organise a follow up scan to check the size. I would have thought it’s unlikely for a midwife to do that anyway in the UK but I’m just wondering if I need to be following up on this in any way. I know I might be at higher risk of miscarriage or it might be fine but just a bit anxious about next steps and can’t find much about this type.

Thanks,
