Hi Ladies,

Wondering if there is anyone out there that’s had a pregnancy go to full term without medical help after recurrent miscarriage?

I’m pregnant for the fourth time this year and praying it will be a sticky one. I’ve been referred to recurrent miscarriage clinic but don’t have my first appointment until December, my GP or Early Pregnancy Unit won’t prescribe me anything until I’ve seen a specialist so was just wondering if there is anyone out there that’s had success without medical help after multiple losses?

Oh this is so frustrating and scary for you. Can you afford a private appointment to see if something like progesterone would be recommended?

OP, if you are not very well placed financially, do you have anyone who could help with the cost of a private appointment? I’d do anything in my power to help my DD in such a situation, as would any parent who was able to help. I agree with a PP - get a private appointment, both for your own peace of mind, and to start on any supplements or medicines that might help. Wishing you the very best of luck with this pregnancy.

I’ve got 3 children and have had 6 miscarriages.

Didn’t get referred to a clinic (threshold was much higher then) but as I had no problem getting pregnant I put it down to just getting pregnant ‘too’ easily with embryos that weren’t viable. It is apparently a thing.

hope this bean sticks

I did, but I used a progesterone cream until I was sure I didn't need it any more.
I think I took "baby aspirin" (75mg dose) as well after a comment from the nurse at the EPU.

I’m afraid not. We went privately to Professor Regan’s clinic.

I had my healthy girl after five recurrent losses with no medication. Sorry for what you've been through, wishing you all the best with your current pregnancy!
