Ongoing spotting after miscarriage – anyone experienced this?

Hi all,
I had an ERPC back in July following a miscarriage, but my spotting/bleeding has been going on for a while now. I’ve had a scan which showed no retained products, and my GP suggested it might be a hormonal imbalance.
I’m feeling well otherwise (mentally a bit down, but I suppose that’s expected), and there’s no sign of infection either.
I’m feeling a bit lost and unsure if this is normal at this stage. I’m probably going to book a private gynae appointment soon, but I wondered if anyone here has experienced something similar? How long did it take to settle for you, and did you find any particular treatments or advice helpful?
Thanks in advance.

Hello. Not quite the same as I didn’t have the procedure but I had a missed miscarriage and had to take some pills to start the process. I bleed for about 4 weeks. It was a long time ago but it was frustrating as it felt like I couldn’t move on whilst I still had the physical symptoms. I think that it’s probably fairly normal in these circumstances. I hope you are okay. It’s not a nice thing to go through.

Thanks for sharing.

I should have mentioned in my original post, will edit now, that I had minimal bleeding post the ERPC. The bleeding started exactly a month after the procedure and it's been now going on for 8 weeks (varying in flow intensity, sometimes it's spotting, other times it's like a period...)...
