Hysteroscopy confusion

Hi, I had a hysteroscopy today after 4 first trimester miscarriages.
Before the procedure the consultant said he would check for any abnormalities such as polyps etc and take a biopsy to check for inflammation/endometritis.
He said he could see some old pregnancy tissue which would need removing but they didn’t have the equipment to remove it today so I would need to go back on the waiting list for another hysteroscopy, but with local anaesthetic this time.
He also showed me an area on the screen which looked like a white bumpy area, I can’t remember what he said this could be but said although he didn’t think it was anything nasty they would need to do a biopsy next time, so I didn’t have the planned biopsy today either.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?
I’m sure they know what they’re doing but just seems odd that I had to wait months for this then have to go back on the waiting list for another few months to have it done again.
I’m probably just being impatient as it means holding off TTC and I feel like my time is ticking.
