Expectant management/bleeding but passing anything?

This is my second missed miscarriage. Last time i had the medical management but this time i opted for the choice of miscarrying naturally. 2 days i've had lots of watery discharge, after that spotting for a day, tonight i was bleeding a lot with bad cramping for about 2 hours. It settled now but i haven't actually passed anything, no clots or tissues or anything other than blood and felt a little bit of thick blood gushing out. I wonder why it settled. How long was the process for you to pass everything with expectant management? I'm getting worried, i hope it's just taking time but i wonder if it's failed. Anyone any advice?

It can take several days for a miscarriage to be complete.
I'm so sorry you've lost your baby.

Sorry, I realise that I haven't answered your question.

It was almost two weeks of cramps on and off, with varying amounts of bleeding, before I passed most of the pregnancy.

I still needed a surgical evac for retained products.

How many weeks are you? I'd go straight for surgical management if I were you.

Really sorry OP.

I had a much found at 8 weeks and opted for natural route. Nothing happened for 2 weeks, then I had sudden contractions and passed everything major in one evening I think, followed by what seemed like a long, light period.

I wonder if this is early stage then will naturally progress.

Wishing you well and a healthy pregnancy to come next.

Baby stopped growing at 6 weeks this time, a lot earlier then last time. I do hope it will naturally progress.

So sorry OP, such a hard time

I didn’t feel anything initially - but cramps started to ramp up over next four days (I tied hot water bottle to my back to try to cope - alongside pain killers ) the cramps actually eased off for two days before I passed the pregnancy- so it was almost unexpected ( day 7)
I then didn’t have any cramps for two weeks ( and only light bleeding) , but then soreness ramped up again and I had one bout of heavy sudden blood loss and no more bleeding/ cramps after tha

So sorry you are going through this difficult time

Trust your gut regarding what you want to do. I felt some comfort afterwards that I had stuck to my instinct and was at peace with my decisions. I tried to treasure my last few days with baby even though I know he/ she passed

I was 13 weeks btw

How are you @midagina?

midagina · 22/09/2025 21:15

i've passed a long strechy light colour jelly like clot last night, and passed a big and a small clot tonight. My cramps eased today hours before i passed these 2 clots. I'm eased but i still feel like this is not everything. I think my body is getting on slowly slowly. I just want to get through this. Thank you for asking 💓 @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne
