Ovulation after miscarriage

Hello,

I want to pregnant again so badly after my miscarriage.

I had a 12 week scan on the 1st September and found out the baby had stopped growing at around 9 weeks.

I took miso on the 3rd Sept and passed the baby on this day.

I spotted thereafter until about 2 days ago (13th Sept).

Yesterday morning (14th Sept) I had clear EWCM, and then in the afternoon I had a brown tinged EWCM.

Today (15th Sept) I've had my first 'kind of' negative pregnancy test from morning wee (there is the slightest shadow, but not even a faint line).

I took an ovulation test at the same time and it looks to be getting darker. Do you think I could be gearing up for ovulation?

Hi xxx

So sorry you are going through this - I am in the exact same boat (about a week behind you) and it’s just awful

I think it sounds positive that youve had the EWCM and the test 🙏 - Only thing I would say is I have seen a few threads of people saying lh tests can pick up HCG and seem positive - so it may worth carrying on testing HCG over the next few days to make sure becomes a proper negative to know all the tissue has definitely passed x

I'm in a similar boat also, I had the 12 week scan on 26th Aug, baby had stopped growing at 9 weeks as well. I took miso on 27th and had the heaviest bleeding. Bleeding eased off maybe 5 days later but it then restarted and up until today I'm still bleeding, which is annoying because I'm really tired of it by now since it's been almost 3 weeks of it. I had a scan last Thursday and there were some tissue bits which I was told should be coming off soon. I did a pregnancy test (with less sensitivity than those strips) on Friday which was annoyingly very clearly still positive.

I don't think I can detect EWCM if I'm still bleeding, and I don't have the ovulation tests with me as I'm abroad and they don't sell those cheap strips. But I really wanted to be able to predict when my next period will be so I wanted to catch it.

In your case, it seems the HCG is clearing up and I read that when it's low enough you can ovulate, so if your ovulation tests get darker over the next few days and HCG strips get fainter then you're most probably ovulating.

I've taken another HCG test this morning and there's still the faintest line. Very much the same as the one I posted in this thread. I'm now day 16 in my cycle (if day 1 is counted as the day I miscarried the baby). I'm still taking ovulation strips just because I'm interested and the lines have faded quite a bit. I've had less CM today and yesterday too. I think my body is trying to work through all the hormones and reset.

@ThisZippyViewer I'm so sorry for your loss, are you trying to conceive at the moment?

@SunsetVibe I hope you're doing ok - it's so difficult, have you still got HCG?

@Fridayschild25 still ongoing bleeding for me unfortunately and very positive pregnancy tests after going unexpectedly naturally last week

I’m so eager for things to get back to normal so can try again but trying to remember these things can take time

After my first miscarriage I had ewcm after 2 weeks and had my period after 4 weeks.
After my second miscarriage I conceived before getting my period. I miscarried on 12th December and my est date of conception was the first week of January
