Another miscarriage

My second in the past 6 months. Third in total. I just don’t know what else I can do. I’m already on blood thinners, low dose aspirin, progesterone. I take a vit d spray. All the things I see ppl say they were recommended by the recurrent pregnancy teams, I am already doing. I’ve lost the weight, I’m a healthy BMI now. I take metformin for my PCOS. I don’t know what else I am supposed to do. I’m so tired and exhausted and it just feels cruel. The past 4 weeks have been so stressful, and full of anxiety, after our previous loss, but I really tried to stay hopeful and get excited, but then it just happened again. I just can’t believe I am back in this position.

Are you under the recurrent miscarriage teams? Have you had blood tests done for thyroid etc? So sorry you're going through this.

Im so sorry this must be such an awful
time for you xx

there always seems to be a lot of focus on the female - has your partner been sent for DNA fragmentation testing? Xx

If you losses have all been early, you could look into immunology testing. There is also microbiome testing and you could have a scan to check for any polyps etc. I'm so sorry this is happening to you.

Thanks for the replies. No, we’re not under a recurrent miscarriage teams. Now we have had our third loss, we will be referred, although we have been given no information regarding what that means.

no, he hasn’t been sent for DNA fragmentation testing, is this something that is done seperately to normal semen analysis? His semen analysis came back fine so nothing has ever been flagged there.

my losses have been 6 weeks, 8 weeks and 6.5 weeks. So early, yes. I’ve had scans and it’s always been commented on that the uterus looks fine, no polyps etc. I do feel like further testing is required now. I’m just not sure where to start.

Yes DNA fragmentation is separate to sperm analysis.
In my area the waiting time for the recurrent miscarriage clinic is eleven months so please be aware that you may also be in for a long wait. I decided to go private rather than wait.
I would definitely look into immune issues with three early losses. Have a listen to Dr Shehata on the 'Dont tell me to relax podcast'.
Something else I did was email the Tommy's midwives and explain my history and ask what they would recommend in terms of testing and future pregnancies. They were great and sent loads of information back the next day. You can also be referred to their clinics through your GP but they're all down south so depending on your location they might not be very convenient.

Also my private consultant told me that scans have to be done when you're not pregnant and at a certain time in your cycle to see clearly if there is an issue.
