Hi all

After some support? Advise? I dont know really.

After three rounds of IVF, I finally got my BFP. All was ok at my 7wk scan and discharged from clinic. For the last 3 weeks, I’ve been nauseous, cravings, bump growing so I thought my little bean was safe.

Had a reassurance scan today at 10 weeks and my heartbroke when I was told my baby died at 7+2. My body is still holding onto little bean

I have to go to the EPU tomorrow to discuss medical management and surgical

Anyone else been through this?

Sorry you are experiencing this. I had a MMC last year, baby stopped growing at 6 weeks. I had a scan at 10 weeks and actually started spotting the day of my scan. As I had started to bleed they didn’t want to do surgical or medical management. After 2 weeks of bleeding I had to go back for a scan where it was confirmed to be an incomplete miscarriage and I had to have a D&C. Even after the D&C it took 2 weeks for me to test negative so it was a very long drawn out process.

Mentally, I found the bleeding at home the hardest to deal with as everytime I went to the bathroom there was more clots and tissue and it was just physically and emotionally draining. At least with the D&C it was one procedure and other than a little bleeding for a day it was done.

if you’ve any specific questions just let me know.

Hello,

im so sorry you’re going through this. I found out on Wednesday at 12+ 3 weeks that baby had stopped growing at 7+2 as well. I am having some light bleeding & passing small clots but things haven’t got going yet. It’s a horrible waiting game & I plan to have surgical assistance next week if things don’t happen before then as the stories of passing naturally at home sound awful. Feel free to message me and keep in touch if you’d like. Sending love & strength. Xx

I had the medical management yesterday and it was most horrific experience of my life. It’s traumatised me.

@PlanBFertility so sorry to hear this, and your update. I recently had medical management and it was the complete opposite - no pain really (minor cramping), just bleeding, one clot passed. I don't feel it has worked. This is my second miscarriage, first one was natural and took 2 months until I was back to normal (as in, I had pregnancy tissue still left until it all finally came away during my 2nd period post-MC). Now this time it seems like it's going the same.. so long and drawn-out!

Hello how are you feeling ? I’m sorry I can’t comment as had surgical management on Monday. I will say the pain and bleeding varies though but haven’t been in agony. I hope you got checked out and are doing better ? Xx

Thanks for checking in. Still bleeding but cramps all gone, thankfully. Was horrific.
