Ovulation after miscarriage- help?

I miscarried on July 23rd but had retained products. Just over 4 weeks after the initial miscarriage I passed what was left and my follow up ultrasound showed the miscarriage was complete. I bled for about 2 weeks, had about a week of no bleeding and then when I passed the remaining tissue bled again for about 4/5 days. Between how long the miscarriage took and the bleeding stopping and starting I have no idea where I am in my cycle. My HCG was 28 two weeks ago so I’d assume it must have dropped to 0 or close to it a while ago. What’s confusing me is that the last 2/3 days I’ve had alot of ewcm but no positive ovulation test. Could I still get a positive in the next day or so or could I end up not ovulating this cycle? I know things are a bit all over the place after a miscarriage. At my last ultrasound a few days ago the doctor said I had follicles on both ovaries which made me think ovulation should be soon. Any advice would be great!

I had my first miscarriage on August last year. I had ewcm after 2 weeks and my period after 4 weeks. It took until 3 weeks for my HCG to return to normal.

I had a second miscarriage mid December and conceived before my period returned, based on my due date I ovulated at the beginning of January. I'm now 35 weeks pregnant

@Superscientist thank you so much for your reply and so happy to hear that you’re pregnant again. Is it most likely that ovulation will happen about 2 weeks after the bleeding stops? Were you tracking ovulation before you got pregnant? We’d like to try again this month but it’s so hard not knowing where I am in my cycle. With how much ewcm I’ve had the last few days I was sure I must be close to ovulation but no sign yet. I guess the best thing is to keep testing for ovulation and hopefully I’ll get a positive soon!

I've never tracked ovulation so can't answer that question, we've just gone with regular sex for conception
The second loss we were having early scans that showed it was unlikely to be successful so by the time we did lose the pregnancy we had processed it mostly and felt ready to get back to intimacy quite quickly.

I ovulated just over a week after I stopped bleeding.

@bk1981 thanks! I’ll keep testing and fingers crossed I might ovulate soon, even just to have an idea of when I can expect my period. I’ve always been very regular so having no idea when I can expect my period has thrown me.
