Has anyone had this happened to them?
I had an early scan at my local EPU last Monday after experiencing some pains on my left side. The doctor measured me at 6w which more or less matches with my LMP. She asked me to come back for a rescan yesterday to make sure there was a heartbeat (a week later).
Anyways, I got to my appointment yesterday and I was scanned by a trainee. She measured me at 6w3d. The doctor that saw me last week didn’t participate during the scan she was sitting outside the curtains, the trainee spent about 15min scanning during which my doctor was telling her that she needed to use the settings to be able to see better. I have an inverted womb/uterus so it’s more difficult to visualise everything without giving it a good wiggle.
Both scans were done transvaginally as per the NHS guidelines for pregnancies under 10weeks
Im now kicking myself because I know I should have advocated for myself and asked the doctor to remeasure herself because now I feel like I’m going to have a missed miscarriage and I’m spiralling.
Has anyone experienced this and has been fine?
I had a private scanned booked for this Friday because I didn’t foresee anything of this happening, booked it as soon as I found out I was pregnant. I’m intending to still go and see if I can be reassure or prepare myself for the worst 😕
