Hello all, I got my results back from Dr Shehata last night, and got the following:
Absolute count: 104.
Activation marker 0.50.
NK cell 50 was 17% and the other one was 12%.
NK cell 50 would be reduced most by 3mg intralipids.
In other words, all within the normal range, although he has still given me a treatment plan with 25mg Prednisolone, intralipids, Omeprazole and thyroxine (I am allergic to intralipids anyway, and do not want to take the steroids if I do not have raised NK cells). We will discuss the results with him on Wednesday.
For context, I am 42, have had six first-trimester losses since 2018 and one living child, who is five. I was on progesterone (Cyclogest), low-dose aspirin and high-dose folic acid for the last two losses. My husband's sperm DNA fragmentation was tested and he is only 3% over the normal range, and is taking Impryl for this.
(I was also told by a sonographer that I have a bicornate uterus, and am thinking of seeing Lesley Regan for this, but would it cause six losses?).
Has anyone been in a similar situation? What did you do next? Feeling quite lost at the moment... Of course, I'm glad to not have high NK cells, but am now stumped as to what the answer is :-(
