I went to a scan they said I was 6 weeks 3 days and then a scan at a week late measiring 7 weeks 4 days both with yolk and sac and a heartbeat. I the went 12 days late they said I was measiring 7 weeks 5 days so had grown by 1 day with a yolk and sac but no heartbeat. I don't know what to would you trust them and for a d and c or would you get another opinion ask for another scan ..thanks all xx

So sorry you are going through this.

You can always get one more scan to confirm it if that puts your mind at ease. You also don’t have to have a D&C immediately, when I had a MMC I was given 3 options, wait for my body to realise on it’s own, medical management or D&C. I ended up starting to miscarriage on my own later the same day as my scan but it was incomplete so ended up with a D&C 3 weeks later anyway. Personally, it going on for so long was really hard mentally for me and I wish I just had the D&C from the get go.

Hi OP. I'm so sorry you're going through this. I've had two losses this year, both discovered at scans.
Where were you scanned? At a private clinic or the EPU?

The chances of them missing a heartbeat when previously there are very low. Not sure you’ll get another scan with NHS but you could go get one privately and see. At least then when you make a decision you are 100% sure that the baby has stopped growing. Growth of 1 day in 12 days is not normal and measuring that much behind normally does mean a miscarriage is imminent. I don’t mean to sound blunt but i initially measured behind and then 2 weeks later the MMC was confirmed. I deluded myself that my dates were off or their measuring and then that false hope made it so much harder when it was confirmed.

Chocolateaddict999 thank you so much for your time and response and you dont sound blunt . Sometimes I need people to be blunt with me . A scan would probably make no difference and prolonging it. They also think is could be a partial molar pregnancy they haven't ruled that out on the 3 scans xx
