Looking for reassurance after being prescribed adalimumab injections for high natural killing cells. After reading the side effects, it’s worried me that it says it says skin cancer and other types of cancer. Im sure they have to say these effects, but looking to hear other peoples side effects after taking these injections. Have been prescribed 4 but nervous about taking it now. Many thanks.

I took it under the brand name Humira. It was like a miracle for improving the quality of my life and helping with my RA. However, ultimately I developed psoriasis as a side effect - and, yes I know it's used to treat this - but I had never had it before. Rheumatologist changed it to Simponi, and whilst the psoriasis largely disappeared I still do have remnants, like an itchy scalp.

Rheumatologist said it's not a completely uncommon side effect of it.

Sorry that wasn't much use for your specific situation. I didn't realise that is was used for potential miscarriages. However, I probably took if for about four years before I developed the side effect, and to be quite honest, if it was my only option I would have kept on taking it and learnt to live with the psoriasis.

I live in Australia, skin cancer capital of the world, and have not had a problem with it caused by this. Touch wood as I say this, but I am not a sun bather at all as I have largely Irish ancestors.

All the best.
