period after miscarriege

hi everyone!

i am 6 days post D&C and i am having light pink blood when i wipe. Could it be my period starting ? or is it too early?

had no issue with my previous pregnancies and feeling scared that it might happen again.

gosh the wait is so exhausting and draining. I just want everything to go back to normal and start trying again. Had a miscarriage at 9 weeks , never felt so lost and devastated. This would of been my 4th pregnancy.

would love to hear you opinions and some success stories after loss

I'm so sorry for your loss. After all my d&cs I had some spotting for a week to 10 days. My period came back 5-6 weeks post surgery every time. You should have been advised to take a pregnancy test around 3 weeks post surgery to ensure it is negative as well, and that all your pregnancy hormones have gone as you won't get your period back until they've gone down.

thats good to know. i was never told to do a pregnancy test or go back for a check up. the doctor just mentioned that we should wait 2-3 cycles and then start trying again. its torture.

i will take a test then maybe today and see what it shows.

You're welcome. Definitely worth taking tests until it shows negative. This means your body has reset back to pre pregnancy levels.

I was told there's no need to wait - it's advised to wait until your period is back for dating purposes but physiologically there's no need to wait a few cycles to try again x
