Chemical pregnancy

Hi all, I recently had a chemical pregnancy. My “period” was a day late, starting on 22nd may lasting 4 days but heavier than usual. Then no bleeding on the 26th may, then bled very very lightly from the 27th may- 3rd June. Passed large clot on 30th, Positive tests on 30th may and 2nd of June, negative test on 4th. Usually my cycles are so regular, 26-29 days. But I started my period - very lightly - this afternoon. Only 10 days after the spotting stopped, making this a 22 day cycle. It seems to be stop start bleeding too.

I know chemical pregnancy can mess with your hormones but I can’t find anything about shorter cycles afterwards and I’m feeling stressed! 🙂 has anyone else experienced this?

Hey didn’t want to read and run. I had a chemical pregnancy in April. My normal 28/29 day cycle was 32 days in May, 30 days this month. Pretty sure I didn’t ovulate the first cycle afterwards either. All this to say, it messed my hormones up but things seem to be calming down. It might just take a couple of cycles to get back in the swing of things ❤️ good luck OP and sorry to hear about your CP x

I should add that my hcg must’ve been high, because on day 10 the line on the test was still fairly strong despite already having a heavy “period” and passing a large clot

@RomyW no worries ❤️ thanks so much. Yeah I’m sure it will, it’s just very frustrating when you’re used to your body behaving a certain way and then it starts doing something totally different 🫠 but it’ll straighten out! X
