Bleeding at 7 Weeks

Morning - I am 7+1 weeks pregnant - On Wednesday afternoon I started to get a pinkish tinge when I wiped after going for a week - i had what felt like mild period pains - a dull ache - Wednesday evening there was a browny discharge - i didn't wear a pad that night and nothing more happened - Yesterday i did wear a pad - over the course of the day - roughly 10 hours - it did half soak the pad, there were a few little bits of thick blood, - I am not sure what to do - The doctor has said to monitor it over the weekend.
If i were miscarrying would it be ramping up by now? Will it just be like a bad period? I have seen so many threads where people have started bleeding and within hours its turned into a full blown miscarriage.
I know every single miscarriage can be different and there isn't a one size fits all - i am just in limbo waiting for something to happen :(

So sorry you are having this worry, does the EPU in your area need a referral from a Dr?
There isn’t much you can do I’m afraid. Afaia EPU’s are closed now over the weekend.
I’ve had 4 mc between 7-9 weeks and they ranged from a few days of light spotting or bleeding, before turning heavy with lots of clots, or went from light bleeding to full on heavy bleeding & clots within several hours. They were like really awful periods. That said, I’m aware many women bleed during early pregnancy and go on to have a perfectly healthy pregnancy.
Being in limbo and not knowing is just awful 😞

Thank you for replying - it feels like a heavy period right now, there have been some decent sized clots - i will see how i go over the weekend and then maybe Monday i might go up to the hospital- they do a walk in so i will see what they say.

So sorry you are going through this OP. I suffered a loss a month ago at 7 weeks and I had spotting for 5 days prior, different colours but mainly brown, until unfortunately I lost the pregnancy. I had no pain at the time and had 2 scans where I saw a heartbeat and was told not to worry and that it’s very common for some women to bleed in pregnancy- which it is. So this could be something but also could be nothing. It’s so difficult to predict which way it will go. I have heard of people bleeding heavily and baby is ok. But definitely get in touch with local EPU when you can and they can hopefully offer you a scan and potentially bloods to see what is going on. Least then you will have some confirmation. I was devastated about my loss but equally was glad to know where I stood. However I will hope and pray that you have a good outcome from this :) and you update with good news. Lots of love xx

I’m so sorry, that’s exactly how my miscarriage 2 years ago went. Look after yourself and get support, medically and emotionally. You won’t forget this little one and what could have been, but your time will come again - my miscarriage was at 8 weeks 2 years ago and my six month old is now snoozing upstairs 🩷

So sorry to hear you’re going through this. I had several large bleeds from 7 weeks onwards in three pregnancies. Two ended in miscarriage but later on (missed miscarriages) and the third was was DD. I bled with her nonstop from 7-11 weeks but it calmed down after that. No one ever gave me a reason, I just seemed to be prone to subchorinic hematomas.

Sending positive thoughts and hoping for a good outcome ❤️

Thanks for the replies - Friday night and yesterday morning seemed to be the worst - i passed quite a few clots - nothing that resembled anything baby like. When i was 5 weeks pregnant i did a clear blue weeks test and it said 1 -2 which i thought was strange - at 6 weeks it has gone up to 2-3 weeks but i was worried that my hcg wasnt rising as it should - so maybe it all stopped a few weeks ago and its taken until now to pass? In which case there wouldn't be a baby like thing to pass?
I have taken a pregnancy test today and its really faint.
