As I’ve now had 3 my dr has referred me, has anyone got any info or advice with what will happen when I eventually get an appointment, she said on paper with my history & regular cycles etc it could just be “it’s a young woman’s game” tried not to cry at that…

I’m sorry you’re going through this OP.

The recurrent miscarriage clinic can do bloods & scans to check hormone levels, they can check for abnormalities in the embryo, they can check your womb & cervix etc and then if any issues are found they can implement a treatment plan for future pregnancies. For some women this is as simple as progesterone being given to help.

She has been insensitive in that comment but to an extent she is right dependent on age, for example once you’re over 40 your chance of miscarriage is essentially 1 in 2, and for those in late 30’s+ around half of eggs are considered to be abnormal which does mean that miscarriage is more likely.

I’ve got my fingers crossed for you x

How old are you?
" it’s a young woman’s game " pretty fucking unhelpful. I wonder what she'd say to a woman in her early who's had 3 miscarriages?

Sorry for your losses

Thanks so much, that’s helpful info, yeah her comment was hard albeit true. I appreciate your crossed fingers 😊 x

I’m 42, I was under the impression being pregnant at that age nowadays was quite normal. Just have to keep trying.

I am so sorry, I can’t believe the doctor said that to you.
I’m under recurrent miscarriage clinic and have had lots of blood tests, genetic testing on most recent loss & a protocol in place for future pregnancies. Also feel very well supported by them with extra scans etc

Thats good to hear, so glad you’ve got things in place for you. Good luck x

Hi OP! I think I remember talking to you on a thread I created a while ago about a December due date? I lost mine 2 weeks ago 😢 x
