Am I miscarrying?

I'm just looking for advice as I feel a little lost.

I'm 10 weeks today and I've been experiencing bleeding and cramps for 4 days now. I don't have a scan until Tuesday with the early pregnancy unit as that is the only day they could fit me in and tbh there seems to be a general lack of care and advice for early pregnancy miscarriages.

I've had light to moderate bleeding which started on Wednesday and the cramps on Wednesday were quite severe. The cramps since then have been much milder but have started to ramp up again today. I change my pad in the morning and in the evening (not saturated) and haven't had any big blood clots but rather the 'coffee granules' on Wednesday and then again today. Is this normal for a miscarriage? I've never experienced one before and had no idea it would go on for so long and I just feel miserable. It's been a really slow, drawn out process and I just want it to be over but I don't know when I can expect it to be done?

I have had 9 between 6 and 12 weeks and none of them were like that. The ones which started with cramps and bleeding were all full on within a day or so. Fingers crossed this is just your hormones settling down. Sending virtual hugs and fingers crossed for you 🤞

Also so horrible to have to wait so long to get a scan. Good luck stay positive and get plenty of rest x

You won't know until you have a scan. With my first I had heavy bright red bleeding at 11 weeks. Honestly so much blood like my normal heavy period for several days. Baby was absolutely fine though and is now a healthy 17 year old.

I also had light bleeding with my second around 6-8 weeks. It was really scary especially the first time. What no one tells you is that bleeding during pregnancy while not necessarily normal is actually quite common.

Fingers crossed and good luck for your scan.

Thank you! I'm so sorry to hear you've had to go through that ❤️. It's the not knowing and second guessing my symptoms atm that's hard, if I knew for sure I could mentally prepare myself. Yesterday my boob's were sore again and I thought maybe my symptoms were something else, but the coffee granules when I was bleedingthid morning and a small clot and thr constant cramps again makes me doubtful.

I totally understand the not knowing is truly horrible. Just try and take your mind off it if you can (MUCH easier said than done I know). I used to go to try and sleep when I felt any ongoing worrying symptoms. It at least stops you having to be awake and overthinking everything. So hard, thinking of you.

How are you doing today??

@mummyto9angels I'm pretty sure I've miscarried. Ive had non-stop bleeding, several clots and passed large pieces of tissue. My abdomen doesn't feel the same, it's less bloated and it feels 'empty'. As much as I was holding onto hope that this may have been something else, I've just accepted that this is what's happened. I just feel sad now.

Thank you for checking in ❤️

I'm so sorry to hear you think it is a miscarriage. It is a horrible thing to go through and 10 weeks is so close to the 'safe' time that people talk about. I hope there is a little twinkling miracle heartbeat in there when you have your scan but it does sound although you might now be going through a miscarriage. Sending a big virtual hug and hand hold for tomorrow. Thinking of you x
