TTC after miscarriage

Hi ladies.

I have been referred to the recurrent miscarriage unit and the estimated waiting time is 3 months.
The advice from gynaecology is mixed, with some saying continue ttc whilst waiting for referral and others saying try to wait for the tests if possible.

I am 34 (35 in July) and we have been trying for our first child for a year. I have had 3 chemical pregnancies, ending around the 5 week mark.
And 2 weeks ago I had a miscarriage at almost 11 weeks.
I feel completely floored.

Just hoping for some advice.

After a miscarriage at 9 weeks I was told to wait until my period occurred before trying again. It’s to help the midwives accurately date your next pregnancy.

I have no experience with the recurrent miscarriage unit, but I remember TTC after a miscarriage being a very lonely time. Even with a supportive and caring partner I felt like nobody understood what was going on in my head. Keep talking to your loved ones you feel comfortable with and make sure you get support if you need it.
