Could this be a chemical preg? 4 months postpartum, need help understanding what’s happening!?

Hi everyone,

I’m really hoping someone here can help me make sense of what’s happening. I had my first baby via C-section 4 months ago, and my periods started returning to a normal rhythm.

This cycle, my period was about 3 days late, and I started noticing some pregnancy symptoms — I had that familiar creamy discharge, mild cramping, and just felt “off.” I took a Clearblue Digital yesterday and it came up saying positive (1-2 weeks). It felt real — I was getting all the signs I remember from my first pregnancy.

But today, I woke up to some bright red bleeding — at first I thought maybe it was implantation bleeding, but it’s gotten heavier through the day and is accompanied by cramping that’s been getting worse over the past 3 days. Now I’m confused and worried.

Has anyone else had something like this? Could this be a chemical pregnancy? Or could it be something else, especially with me being so recently postpartum?

I don’t know if I’m miscarrying, having a weird postpartum period, or what’s going on. I feel emotionally all over the place right now.

Would love any advice, personal experiences, or reassurance. Thanks :(
