Is this a miscarriage? 7.5 weeks :(

Hi, I’m 7.5 weeks. About half an hour ago I got a medium size gush of brown-red blood and then this. I have quite bad cramps on the right side. I’m lying down now trying to relax. Is this a miscarriage ? I would be pretty devastated if so but I’d rather know :( I’m away from home and don’t have a doctor out here. I made myself cum this morning and felt cramping immediately afterwards. Any opinions appreciated 🙏🏽.

That’s just a clot, nobody here can really say if it’s just a random bleed or related to a miscarriage.

When I mc the 'tissue' was a definite blue... That looks like a clot imo.

You need to go and get seen by EPU, is there a hospital nearby?

Cakencookieobsessed · 27/04/2025 11:48

I second going to EPU if you can. My friend recently miscarried and had similar bleeding with clots although the foetus was still fully intact and needed taking out surgically. I'm not a medical professional but as far as I'm aware, having an orgasm does not cause a miscarriage, but maybe if it was there ready to come out, your uterus contracting during orgasm is what has sped it up.

I would wait and see what happens over the next few hours. If you continue to bleed and have clots, then I would say it’s v likely to be a miscarriage. If you don’t have any further bleeding, then it’s likely all fine.

I hope it all works out for you x

Hi, how are you getting on?

Minnie87 · 29/04/2025 16:12

Hello: update for anyone having the same question with similar bleeding. I went for a check up and it was okay. There was a small gap between the amniotic sac and the uterus wall (? might not have got that quite right, apologies) which was bleeding. Doc said this was healing but to avoid sex and no vigorous exercise. Thank you for everyone who answered, it really helped.

Hello, thank you for checking on me. I found a doctor who spoke English and went for a really quick scan earlier today. It was okay :) no MC but there was a gap between the sac and uterus wall (?) which had pooled blood in it. I’m very relieved

A haematoma of some type? I had a subchorionic one, cleared up by 14 weeks.
