Evening,
I am unfortunately experiencing what i think is my first MC. Our son was stillborn in January and this pregnancy came as a bit of a surprise. I know my body and know when I ovulate, so I believe i would have been 5+5 (ish) today. Not had a period since my son was born.
On Sunday I had a light watery pink bleed, followed by brown discharge. I thought for sure a MC was imminent. I was seen by the EPU on Tuesday where I was told they saw a GS and YS, measured 3mm (a bit on the small side they said?) and that it was low in my uterus, meaning miscarriage likely imminent and pregnancy not viable. Consultant advised a further scan in 2 weeks to reassess viability.
I continued to have brown discharge until yesterday morning when I started bleeding heavily, changing the pad every hour or so. I passed 2 gold ball sized clots which were red and jelly like, followed by 2 smaller ones which unfortunately went straight into the toilet but were about the size of a 10p. The bleeding eased by about 3pm, and was just spotting by the time I went to bed. Spotted lightly over night and since then have had no more bleeding at all today. A tiny bit of pink in my CM this evening. Have had on and off back ache and stomach cramps, but they are not any worse than they have been since I found out I was pregnant.
Am I likely to start bleeding again or is this it? I thought it would take longer and I would bleed for longer. I will ring the EPU in the morning for their advice if nothing else happens.
I have attached a picture of my discharge letter from the EPU when I had my scan Tuesday. Doesn’t make much sense to me but might to others.
