Brown discharge

Hi all,

I had a miscarriage around 4 weeks ago. Before the miscarriage throughout the pregnancy I had random brown discharge from vagina when I needed to go a number two. Ultrasounds were normal but then it went to bleeding and no heartbeat at 10 weeks.

I stopped bleeding around 4 weeks ago after taking medical management and I had bleeding last week for 6 days (I'm guessing a period) it stopped 2 days ago and now I have the brown discharge when going toilet. I did a digital and a clearblue pregnancy test on Saturday and negative.

Is this common after a miscarriage? This is my first miscarriage. My son is 2 and the pregnancy was easy. I did call EPU but no answer. But I don't know if I'm just worrying over nothing.

@Lolalu09 So sorry for your loss. I have had three losses myself, one MMC and 2 chemicals. I think the brown discharge may just be the residue of what remains from your loss and your period. The womb just clearing itself olpf old blood, which is usually brown. I would see how things go and if it goes on for more than a week pop to the doctor so they can check.

I spoke to EPU because I've still been getting an upset stomach and they said it's my body adjusting still and tonight I feel quite sick. But that could be many reasons. I've done another digital tonight and still says not pregnant but I just keep obsessing and worrying x
