Foetus not visible on second scan within 24 hours

I am 7 weeks, 5 days. I started spotting on Saturday evening with some very light sporadic bleeding on Sunday/Mon. Yesterday, I went for a private transvaginal scan which showed the foetus in the sac but no heartbeat and measuring 7 weeks 0 days. Sadly this made sense as stopped growing just before my spotting started.

Today I went to the EPPC who did their own transvaginal scan. They couldn't locate the pregnancy at all and have classified it as a possible Pregnancy of Unknown Location.

My bleeding has ramped up over the last 24 hours but I haven't passed any tissue, had minimal flow like a light to medium period.

So, where is the foetus? Do the inability to locate today mean that it is very close to being passed? Or could it be a scanning issue?

I know I am miscarrying but just a bit perplexed.

Did no one speak to you? Ask if you had any questions?

You likely lost the baby very very early on
and may pass and not even notice

I’m sorry x

Thanks, it is just strange as it was measuring 7 weeks yesterday though no heartbeat and today gone but not passed yet?

The measurements yesterday could have been wrong and the pregnancy was very small, possible that you wouldn’t notice anything passing.

Thanks for your responses. I had a call to say that my hormone levels are still high so they want to rescan to confirm.
