When to try again after miscarriage?

I had a miscarriage a few days ago. I started spotting at 8 weeks and a scan showed baby stopped growing at six weeks. The bleeding became heavy after a week and I passed most of it at home but then had to go to hospital due to excessive bleeding. I ended up having some tissue removed using a speculum and sponge forceps. I then had pessaries and tablets to help ensure there was nothing else remaining. I had another scan to confirm there was no tissue remaining a couple of days later. I'm now waiting for the bleeding to end and a negative pregnancy test.

I am desperate to try again and really want the age gap to be as small as possible between my first and second. Is there anyone on here who managed to fall pregnant before their first period following a miscarriage? How did you/the NHS navigate not having a LMP date to work off? My husband is keen to wait for my first period but I can't bare the thought of 'wasting' an opportunity to try.

When we were trying for our second we had two chemical pregnancies back to back.

First June/July I think and second end of August , both times didn’t go past 6 weeks and didn’t require any intervention. If I hadn’t been symptom spotting then I would have assumed they were both normal periods.

Got our positive and sticky bean beginning of October and she’s soon to be 4 in June .

As soon as you feel ready try again

Sorry for your loss. I had two early miscarriages while trying for our 2nd child, the 2nd one was in July, and I tested pregnant again in August. That sticky lil bean is at school now. If you feel ready, go for it and good luck.
