Hi there, I am looking for some advice / hope. I just had my second miscarriage and am booked in for surgery this week. I am 31 and have no kids yet. My first MC was November and between 5 and 6 weeks and I started bleeding. With that one I was devastated but thought this is bad luck let’s try again. We got pregnant again after 1 cycle and this pregnancy was going so well - I went in for 9 week scan and the heartbeat stopped at 8+5. It has been such a shock and a missed miscarriage so will need surgery. It makes no sense to me why this one would stop and feels so different to the first. NHS won’t help until 3 so looking for any experiences or advice or hope after 2 MC

Sorry you have had a second MC. I had 4 MC more than 10 years ago now, and took a lot of comfort from the Mumsnet threads - I’m still in touch with a lot of the women I met there and we all got our rainbow baby in the end. The second is hard to take - it’s difficult to swallow ‘bad luck’ for a second time but nobody is interested in investigating. Take care of yourself.
