Hello, I had a miscarriage on the 8th of January. 6 week pregnant - heartbroken. We tried for well over a year (18/19 months) and now we’re back to square one.

bleeding has stopped. Now testing for ovulation to go again.

praying everyday for our rainbow baby. This is baby #2

I am so sorry for your loss. It really is heartbreaking.

I just found I am having a missed miscarriage today. Need to deal with next steps now.

I have everything crossed for you that you get your rainbow baby soon

Sorry you are both going through this too. Mine was 4 weeks ago. Stopped bleeding 2 weeks ago but I'm still testing positive - I have a scan tomorrow to make sure it isn't because there's retained products. I was nearly 12 weeks along so I think my hormones were just high and taking a while to come down. I went for a scan at 8 weeks but baby was meausuring only 6 weeks so I knew a miscarriage was likely, but it took 4 long weeks for the miscarriage to happen! In this time nobody has seen me or advised me much! I miscarried at home and phoned EPU just to be told to take a pregnancy test in 3 weeks. The support is pretty shocking! I know it's partly because it is so common. No advice on when to try again or anything, but I'm eager to!

So sorry to you and everyone here experiencing this 💕 I had one last year at 6 weeks and I'm nearing my would have been due date. It's been on my mind a lot lately, wondering who he or she would have been and what it would be like right now.
I do have two children and we decided not to try again for the time being. It's definitely something that will stick with me forever.

Yeah the support is shocking! My grandma is old fashioned but she was so shocked that no one came out to see me (I guess they did back in her day).

My doctor just said to wait at home, let it pass and take a test in a couple of weeks. That was all.

I know it’s common, but the whole situation is just so cruel. We have it hard, women. Our poor bodies too, going through such trauma.

how are you feeling today? I’ve started taking ovulation tests again, and it looks like I’m ovulating soon.

I have an appointment with the hospital for next steps. My GP signed me off work for 2 weeks which is good because I don’t think I can face work at the moment.

The Dr told me we can’t try again for three months! Is that normal? Basically saying I need to have two normal periods. I mean I am still not bleeding and have full on pregnancy symptoms and blazing positive tests so who knows how long it’s going to take to get a period. Let alone two!

I guess everyone has different advice? But from my research and after speaking to my doctor is absolutely fine to start trying as soon as you get a negative.

my doctor said women are only advised to wait for a period so that they can have a better understanding of timing if they were to fall pregnant.

if it’s been an natural miscarriage without surgery/ectopic then you’re fine. Apparently it’s old “fashioned” to say that women need to wait three months before trying.

weve been given the go ahead to start as soon as we feel comfortable and able. I’ve ovulated exactly 2 two weeks and 2 days after the first day of my miscarriage.

My best friend fell pregnant before getting her period after a miscarriage and now has a little girl.

You're more fertile after a miscarriage. Lots of YouTube doctors from fertility doctors backing this up too :)

Thank you for this. It’s encouraging to hear positive stories!

currently my body doesn’t seem to be doing anything. I am praying for a natural miscarriage to start just because it feels less stressful than the alternative and takes the choice element out of my hands.

I am hoping we can try again soon and have a happier ending!
