Hi everyone,

started bleeding at ten weeks pregnant last week and have had a miscarriage. I am still bleeding now and it’s day 8 it’s also sometimes light and then it goes really heavy.

anyone else been through this really awful experience and how long were you bleeding for? How long did it take for you to get pregnant again? I’m really worried as I’m 36 now and have on recently started ovulating regularly due to losing a lot of weight . Worried it won’t happen for me again and feeling very sad.

It took me 3 months after my mmc to have my healthy baby girl

I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks when I was 42. Given my age I decided to try and conceive again straight away as time wasn't on my side. I conceived again four months later and had a normal pregnancy and birth.

It takes a few weeks for the pregnancy hormones to leave your body. This means if you were to do a pregnancy test now it would probably be positive. Once the bleeding stops keep testing until the pregnancy tests are negative, then you can start trying again without the confusion of wondering whether you are pregnant again or still having symptoms of the last one.

You have plenty of time, you know you can conceive and there's no reason to think your next pregnancy won't result in a baby.
