Hi, I have just found out from a blood test at a fertility clinic following egg collection that I am homozygous PAI-1. I was due to have an embryo transfer next month and be put on Clexane and aspirin. However, I unexpectedly found out I was pregnant 2 weeks ago naturally (first cycle after egg collection) and now I’m really worried as I have just found out about this gene mutation today. Is it too late to start on this medication? I’ve already had a few miscarriages and I’m terrified of going through it again. Does anyone have any knowledge of this or advice? I’ve asked to speak to the clinic urgently about this but I’m panicking. I can’t get a self referral to EPU either so I have no idea what’s going on with the pregnancy. Really worried.
