I feel so lost

I have a daughter who I had in 2018 with no complications. But since 2022 I’ve now had 3 miscarriages, I got given a referral letter after the third and they have to told me I should hear in about a year, it’s been about3-4 months. I’m now pregnant again and I’m so scared. I’ve got down here that I’m just over 7 weeks and I was self referred last week through the doctors and thought the early pregnancy unit would of been in contact but I still haven't had a phone call. Not even with a midwife 😢 and I know I’m being impatient but the thought of losing 4 pregnancy’s is killing me especially since it’s all my husband and I want, has anyone gone through a healthy pregnancy after so many miscarriages

Hi op, didn't want to read and run as I have been in the place of having recurrent miscarriages and scouring the internet and mumsnet looking for people who could understand.
Unfortunately I've never had a successful pregnancy so I'm no story of hope, but I have had 6 miscarriages so I understand the constant fear with every twinge you feel. The only advice I can offer, (which I also know in your position in impossible advice!) is you just need to take one day at a time and and try not to overthink. I have a good friend who had a child then 5 years of recurrent MC, their second child is about to turn 1 year old. They never did find out why they suffered so many MC in between the first and second child, but if you're looking for tales of hope, they are definitely out there 😊

@MCrewe

Replying to bump your post. Really not sure why you’ve had no replies but I think there's a pregnancy section here somewhere.

I am definitely not knowledgeable enough to answer, but I did have IVF after 9 years of infertility. DS born on 4th attempt and DD followed on the 5th. You will get there!

i have absolutely everything crossed that this little one will make it safely through.
Sending big hugs xx

Yes, it is definitely possible to have a successful pregnancy even after several miscarriages. I’m sorry you don’t seem to be getting much support. Have you contacted the early pregnancy unit directly? I know it is so hard but you have no reason to believe there is anything wrong.

Hi OP, I’m also pregnant again with my second baby after two miscarriages so I know the anxiety that comes with it. Do you have contact details for your local EPU? Mine has an online self referral form and they get back to you within 24 hours, so yours might have similar. I know you said the doctors referred you but was that just for your standard maternity care rather than specifically to EPU?

With this pregnancy I was scanned at 6 and 8 weeks in EPU under doctors care because of my previous losses. This might be something you could ask for if you can get in touch with them x

I had similar with scans at about 7 weeks and 9 weeks via the EPU. Sometimes I’m not sure of the GP route works as well. Really hope it all works out for you x
