Pending early miscarriage ?

Morning everyone

Im feeling quite fragile today. I tested positive on Friday morning (CD 23) it was a faint line but was 100% a line - . I get symptoms very early when I’m pregnant and seem to test positive very early on. With my son I tested positive (faint, but it progressed) at CD 21!

over the weekend, there has been no line progression. I’ve used various tests. I’ve had slight cramps which are still there. Had ‘lightning crotch’ on the day I believe implantation happened.

is this a pending early miscarriage? I’m feeling so helpless. I hate not knowing. Has anyone been in this situation and had a good outcome? I guess I’m just looking for others’ experiences of the same thing really.

thank you so much xx

Just to add - I’ve contacted my GP about this and asked if they can do bloods to confirm the pregnancy and see how my HCG levels are rising. I’m not hopeful that they’ll do that but thought it’s better to just ask anyway xx

Have you been bleeding at all ? Cramping is very common in early pregnancy it can feel like your period is starting when it's not, fwiw I found out at 4 weeks I did another test at 7-8 weeks and the line was a lot lighter than the 4 week test so the lines don't really mean much as long as there is a line if that makes sense ? Had 3 scans since and baby happy and healthy xx

Have you had a miscarriage before?

This sounds like textbook early pregnancy symptoms to me, you could just be too early for darker lines to appear.

Sorry should have said, I’ve had no bleeding. I’m really hoping the no line progression is just as you say because I’m too early on. I’ve just spoken to my GP who have agreed to get me a blood test to check my BETA HCG levels xx

Yes I had one in October 2022. We weren’t trying but weren’t careful iyswim. Had symptoms so tested and same as this one had faint lines then nothing. Im not sure how far along I was with that pregnancy. I bled very heavily and painfully for 9 days and it took 6 months for my cycles to gear up again properly 😔

Have had a baby since then born last year.

Just wanted to update in case anyone is searching for answers in the future, that this pregnancy sadly ended in miscarriage. The tests did start showing up more positive but then I started bleeding, 5 days after the first + test.

Hiya thanks so much for posting back, yes my husband is here and I have a couple of friends I’ve been talking to about it. It’s helped but I’m just so sad. The bleeding isn’t so bad any more (on around day 2.5 now) but I’ve had no pain, it’s so strange xx

Also I had a mc in 2022, I was around 4ish weeks too but it was painful and I bled heavily for 9 days. I can’t understand why this is so different this time x
